Rob Troughton (U18 Tornadoes) - He has had various levels of involvement with his current U18 since U7. Despite his own son stepping away from the game 2/3 years ago he always promised his team he would take them to U18 - which he has. He regularly acts as taxi for lads who are struggling for lifts and has created a massive team bond between all the boys and himself and Pete included. He has instilled a passion for the game with the boys and club, so a number are looking at moving to open age next year and feed into the future of the club. During covid he managed to continue with his weekly training (all be it over FIFA initially) then organising PT sessions over Zoom when restrictions started to relax. Andy Hampson (U17 Tornadoes) - Been around the coaching set up for 9/10 years. He never moans. Always works the team around the lad’s desires. Coaches the correct way, he's inclusive, empathetic & very honest. His team are now starting to see rewards this season which may well be his last. Coach of the Year(Required) Paul Foster (U13 Volcanoes) Rob Troughton (U18 Tornadoes) Andy Hampson (U17 Tornadoes) Team of the Year Award Nominees U16 Lightning - They've been going for ten years and were written off at the start, with coaches not wanting to put the effort into the so called, weaker players. They've made steady progress and created a great friendship on the group. Come close finishing second in the league last year and were top when covid hit. This season, they have finally got their rewards and won a league title in the last season with their coach U12 Wildcats - In their first competitive season together, they have won 18 and drawn 1 of the 20 league games: Losing only once! They have 16 girls turn up every week playing 9-a-side, and they all share the minutes evenly every single week without complaint or greed. They support each other, encourage each other, and spend so much time together off the field after becoming so close. Lastly, they have a phenomenal parent following who all come back to the club house after every game and bond with each other as though they were one big family. U21 Panthers - A new team, the difficulty of the ages of the lads and the commitments they have at that age and after speaking to Andy earlier in the season and him saying they weren’t getting results etc, credit for them staying together. Veterans - Competing in their 3rd season the old men football side have been competing in the Bolton Fed Over 35s and have seen many of our junior team coaches join and play for the team. They have been pushing for the league title and have managed to get to a cup final which is a great achievement. What's great is that so many of the players are already involved with the club as coaches.
